Privacy Notice

How LinkSlate handles personal information on the public website and during business enquiries.

Last updated: 1 September 2026

1. Who this notice is for

This Privacy Notice explains how personal information is handled when you visit the public LinkSlate website, contact us, or submit a business enquiry.

It does not replace the separate data-protection terms that apply when a business becomes a LinkSlate customer and uses the LinkSlate platform to manage information about its own customers, employees, service users or other people.

2. Who is responsible for your information

LinkSlate is the business responsible for the personal information described in this public-site notice. The planned operating company is Raspin & Co Ltd. Until incorporation details are final, statutory company information is not published as though it already exists.

For privacy questions or requests, contact garth@linkslate.co.uk.

3. Information we collect

Depending on how you use the public website, we may collect:

  • your name;
  • business email address and/or phone number;
  • the business requirement or enquiry details you choose to provide;
  • correspondence with us about your enquiry;
  • basic technical and security information needed to operate, protect and troubleshoot the website.

Please do not send passwords, payment-card details, identity documents, health information, or unnecessary personal information about your customers, employees or service users through the public enquiry form.

4. How and why we use it

We may use public-site personal information to:

  • receive, review and respond to your enquiry;
  • understand what your business may need from LinkSlate;
  • discuss a demonstration, configuration, proposal or potential supply of LinkSlate;
  • keep appropriate records of enquiries and communications;
  • operate, secure, maintain and improve the reliability of the website;
  • prevent misuse, fraud, spam or other security problems; and
  • meet legal, regulatory, accounting or dispute-resolution requirements where applicable.

5. Our lawful bases

The lawful basis depends on the circumstances. Where you ask us to take steps with a view to entering into a business contract, processing may be necessary to take those steps at your request.

We may also rely on legitimate interests where it is necessary and proportionate for us to receive and respond to genuine business enquiries, maintain business records, operate and secure the website, and protect LinkSlate from misuse. Where the law requires consent for a particular activity, we will ask for it before carrying out that activity.

6. Marketing

Sending the business enquiry form does not sign you up for unrelated marketing. We may reply to the enquiry you submitted and continue a relevant business conversation about LinkSlate.

If we introduce separate marketing sign-ups or marketing tracking in future, we will provide the appropriate information and choices at that point.

7. Cookies and similar technologies

LinkSlate may use storage or cookies that are strictly necessary for security, authentication, session management or essential website operation. These are not used simply to build advertising profiles.

We do not currently promise or describe non-essential advertising or behavioural tracking on this public site. If non-essential analytics, advertising cookies or similar tracking are introduced, we will provide the required information and consent controls before using them where consent is required.

8. Who we share information with

We may use trusted technology and professional service providers where necessary to host, store, secure, operate, communicate about and maintain LinkSlate. They may process information only to the extent needed to provide those services or meet their own legal obligations.

We may also disclose information where required by law, to establish or defend legal rights, or to protect LinkSlate, its users or others from fraud, abuse or security threats. We do not sell personal information.

9. International transfers

Some technology providers may process information outside the UK. Where UK data-protection law requires safeguards for an international transfer, we will rely on an appropriate lawful transfer mechanism and any additional protections required for the circumstances.

10. How long we keep information

We keep enquiry information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the enquiry, any resulting business relationship, security, record-keeping, legal or dispute purposes. The appropriate period depends on what the information is and what happens after the enquiry.

Information that is no longer needed will be deleted or anonymised in line with our retention arrangements, subject to any legal requirement to keep it for longer.

11. Your data-protection rights

Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law may give you rights to request access to your personal information, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or to object to certain processing. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw that consent without affecting processing that was lawful before withdrawal.

Rights are not absolute and may not apply in every situation. To make a request, contact garth@linkslate.co.uk.

12. Complaints

Please contact us first if you have a concern so we can try to resolve it. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK supervisory authority for data protection.

You can find current ICO contact and complaint information at ico.org.uk.

13. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice when LinkSlate, its providers, legal requirements or our data practices change. The latest version will be published on this page.

Customer platform data

Businesses using LinkSlate may upload or create personal information about other people. The roles and responsibilities for that customer-platform data are addressed separately through the customer's LinkSlate contract and data-protection terms; this public-site notice is not intended to define those arrangements.
